The Toasted Hostess

The Corkscrew Diary is a global travelogue about wine and food. Arguably, there are few better places to experience a wine than with the wine maker, in the cellar at the vineyard on which the fruit was nurtured. By revealing a wine in the place in which it was created, light is shed not only on the characters in the wine, but the characters that have crafted the juice as well as the life and qualities of the region. The Toasted Hostess takes you there.
The Toasted Hostess, Deborah Gee is everyone. She's real, engaging, curious and enthusiasticDeborah has opened her own Corkscrew Diary to demystify the world of wine, making it an enjoyable, understandable, less presumptuous additive to the every day.
Desert & Dolphin

Whether it is a morning on the water with adventure, drinks, food and the best Walvis Bay oysters, or a full Marine Dune day where you will drive through the massive sand dunes, Mola Mola is a part of your Namibian adventure not to be missed!
In the bay we often see the enormous Mola Mola or Sunfish that can reach up to 3 000 kg! The endemic Heavyside or Benguella dolphin is unique to this part of the world and we average 95% success rate in seeing them, the Atlantic bottle nose dolphins are seen about 75% of the time! Whales are here mostly between June and November; seals and pelicans up close are always part of your excursion!
Victoria Falls

One of the greatest attractions in Africa and one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world, Victoria Falls is located on the Zambezi River, the fourth largest river in Africa, which is also defining the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Victoria Falls is the only waterfall in the world with a length of more than a kilometer and a height of more than hundred meters. It is also considered to be the largest fall in the world.
The noise of Victoria Falls can be heard from a distance of 40 kilometers, while the spray and mist from the falling water is rising to a height of over 400 meters and can be seen from a distance of 50 kilometers. No wonder that the local tribes use to call the waterfall M. osi-o-Tunya “The smoke that thunders”.
Elephant Back Safari

Shearwater’s herd of twelve elephants reside on the Jafuta Game Reserve, a few kilometres outside of Victoria Falls. Each Elephant has formed a close bond with their personal Induna (elephant handler) who live permanently with the elephants and understand each elephant’s unique character and traits. Participate in a Breakfast or Sundowner Elephant Back Safari and seize the opportunity to ride on these magnificent animals in their natural habitat.
You will learn about their life stories, behaviour patterns and anatomy from the knowledgeable Indunas who accompany every safari. After the 45 minute ride in the African bush, where abundant wildlife is often encountered, you will participate in a close-up interaction with your elephant during which time you will feed, touch and bond with your gentle giant.
